Cable cars and gentlemen wearing goofy hats, those were the standards of the day. This is the famous corner of State and Madison where east meets west and north meets south. Sound like a horror movie of epic proportions? Nope, just a hustling, bustling town known as Chicago. I wonder how King Kong would have turned out if he was terrorizing this city instead of New York. I certainly wouldn't know but I could see this famous intersection being in the film.Monday, November 24, 2008

Ah, when men wore boaters in summer....
Have you seen the movie from the 50's with the huge grasshoppers terrorizing loop shoppers and crawling on the el and climbing over the skyline (and oh so ever effectively scary with early special 'effects')?
Was that on Svenghoulie? I tend to avoid the cheesy horror flicks (unless they are 80s favorites like Friday the 13th or Nightmare On Elm Street-all good for a laugh) but that sounds like something I must see! LOL!
